TELEVISION/CARTOONS

"Oh, he is so beautiful in his ugly nastiness!"

Dr. Jacques Von Hamsterveil

As a kid, naturally I was big into the cartoon fare.  Nowadays, as a pop culture enthusiest, I've come to love shows I normally wouldn't have given a shot before.  My teenage viewing experience had primarily been TV sitcoms of the T.G.I.F. variety.  Now as an adult, I've gotten a taste of what TV really has to offer and here are a few bits of what I'm watching, and show's I've liked that are no longer on the air, or are in syndication.  After that, a list of cartoons that I still love to this day!

Julian McMahon of FX's "Nip/Tuck"

"Nip/Tuck" -- Currently this is my favorite program on television to date.  This show is edgy, morbid, grotesque and downright depressing....and I can't get enough!  The characters are complex and barely a single one has a redeeming quality to them.  The stories are intricately woven and contain twists that have made my jaw drop.  The acting is flawless, and that is the icing on the cake for me.  "Nip/Tuck" stars Dylan Walsh, Julian McMahon, Joely Richardson, John Hensley, Roma Maffia, Jessalyn Gilsig and Kelly Carlson.

The cast of Fox's "Prison Break"

"Prison Break" -- One of the greatest things to hit television since "Nip/Tuck"!  This show is a plot heavy, character laiden device that hits all of the right buttons and makes you come back for more!  All of that is a plus considering a tattooed torso of Wentworth Miller is also included :)  The cast of "Prison Break" is Robert Knepper, Marshall Allman, Peter Stormare, Sarah Wayne Callies, Dominic Purcell, Paul Adelstein, Wentworth Miller, Wade Andrew Williams, Robin Tunney, Stacy Keach and Amaury Nolasco.

PAST TELEVISION FAVORITES -- "Buffy The Vampire Slayer", "Angel", "Queer As Folk", "Firefly", "Sports Night".

"JEM" -- This show had it all in regards to my ideal type of show.  Fabulous hot chicks, great music, romance, and music!  I could go on for hours about how this is one of the greatest shows in my opinion, but all true fans of the show know, and if you don't....that sucks for you :)

"X-Men" -- This animated series came at the beginning of my X-Men obsession.  It helped to fuel the fire of my passion into the universe.  It featured many of the most popular characters, and used a few storylines right from the comics.  It was a pretty cool series that lasted five years, and one I can still see on Toon Disney's Jetix!

OTHER PAST CARTOON FAVORITES -- "Smurfs", "Thundercats", "G.I. Joe", "Silverhawks", "X-Men Evolution", "He-Man", "She-Ra"
